Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum says his team is battle ready for the 2022
Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash against Cote d’l voire, reports Completesports.com.
The first leg clash will hold at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Friday.
The African champions are yet to record an outright win in the last five meetings with the Ivorians, but the American tactician is unperturbed as he is motivated by his team’s mood and depth ahead of their first leg this week.

“The spirit in the camp is very high and positive. The players have been looking forward to these matches for some time now and their professionalism has been fantastic,” Waldrum told CAFOnline.com.
“I think we have a good understanding of Cote d’Ivoire and their current side. I’m not big on past history as that is why they call it history. The previous matches have no bearing on this one.
“We recognize the strengths of our opponents and will be prepared for that. Obviously, it’s vitally important to our goals of achieving another FIFA Women’s World Cup berth. Playing the first match at home is important as well to get on the front foot in everything we do.”

_ The Lady Elephants Must Fall _
The fabulous Super Falcons are in buoyant mood as they drum up support from fans ahead of Friday’s all important Afcon qualifier at home against Ivory Coast.
Taking to twitter, the team wrote: “We [the Super Falcons] are set for Friday’s game vs Ivory Coast.
We count on you for support from the stands at the Moshood Abiola Stadium Abuja from 4pm. See you!”
Earlier, coach Randy Waldrum said: “The spirit in the camp is very high and positive. The players have been looking forward to these matches for some time now and their professionalism has been fantastic.”
The Ladies Elephants of Ivory Coast blocked Nigeria’s path to the women’s Olympics football last year. Waldrum’s ladies are determined not to let history repeat itself.
“I’m not big on past history as that is why they call it history.” Said coach Randy Waldrum. “The previous matches have no bearing on this one,” he concluded.
I learnt Oshoala is missing in camp. Meanwhile any with the link to watch the match live online

This is the poorest super falcons team ever. The Ivorians are just running rings round the team forget the 2:0 scoreline
To be honest, this Waldrum of a coach has not added anything to this team. I would not be surprised if the super falcons are disgraced in the 2nd leg
The team look very jaded. They were just playing like they’re in Labor Room. The Ivorians were just running them over. I hope they improve in the second leg otherwise they might as well forget the AWCON and WorldCup altogether. Not an impressive performance from the Falcons.
The game plan was score two or more goals and defend. We got exactly what we wanted. Playing beautifully and not getting the job is not the way to go.
Sometimes, you don’t need to play attractive football to qualify for a major tournament.
Well you’re right. They got the job done by playing unattractive football to get the results which is what matters. We know how far we went with expressive and attractive football recently. Maybe the NFF have now switched back to boring football that guarantees results Lmao!!
