Super Falcons and Leicester City defender Ashleigh Plumptre has congratulated the Flamingos, following their qualification to the quarter-finals of the 2022 U-17 women’s World Cup in Monday.
The Flamingos sealed their place in the last eight after defeating Chile 2-1 in their last Group B game.
The win earned Flamingos their second win of the tournament and a runners-up spot in Group B finish behind Germany.
And following the Flamingos qualification, FIFA wrote on Twitter:“See you in the #U17WWC quarter-finals, Nigeria👏🇳🇬.”
And reacting to FIFA’s Tweet, Plumptre wrote on her handle:” Great work girls 💪🏽.”
The Bankole Olowookere-led team will now face USA in the quarter-finals on Friday.
