Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer, Alloy Agu has reaffirmed that there will be no sentiment in the selection of players ahead of the crucial 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho respectively.
Agu stated this on Wednesday during an interview with Brila.net, where he said that only the best hands will be selected for the games.
Nigeria are top of Group L with eight points out of four matches and a win or draw against the Squirrels of Benin could push the team a step further for qualification.
He said: “What Nigeria deserves is the best, the best hands at all times of national assignments as long as it’s going to give Nigeria the best result which is what we need and Nigerians will be happy with it that is what we are after, we are going around and looking out for the best for Nigeria as the League is going on.”
